Visited 4 sites today, the first one was the one from the other night (the Pearl S. Buck Estate...still a favorite), the second one the Fonthill Castle (totally not the feel we're looking for), and another which quickly became our new #1: Glasbern Inn. It's an inn/working farm, and we loved the natural country feel.

The fourth venue we saw is really popular in our area, and it's probably appealing to most since they pretty much take care of everything. Only...it kind of reminded me of summer camp. The buildings looked a little too rustic, and everything was all on one like...compound. Only, the arts and crafts building was the spa, the mess hall was a really nice restaurant, and so on.
BUT...we'd really like a place that we can make our own, so a venue that provides all the bells and whistles for you...well, not sure it's the place for us. I'd like to leave out extra things they "include" and choose from people whose work I like rather than be locked into something that we don't really like.
